Law Enforcement and Fire Scholarship

Little Dixie Fire Protection District

The Audrain County Criminal Justice and Fire Protection Scholarship fund was conceived to encourage qualified students who are interested in a career in criminal justice or fire protection; to further their education in that field. The Audrain County Sheriff's Auxiliary and the Little Dixie Fire Protection District volunteers sponsor and fund the scholarship. The Scholarship will be awarded for one year in the amount of $1,000. Students who are members of either department's Cadet Program will be given preference.

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Meet the entrance requirements to an accredited college, university, or specialized school.
2. Show evidence of the ability to possess and maintain an acceptable level of achievement at all times.
3. Applicants should have actively participated in school and community organizations or events.
4. Applicants shall have an academic ranking that places him or her in the upper 50% of their graduating class.
5. Applicants shall show a need for financial-assistance.
6. Applicants shall be a good citizen, possessing a good moral character.
7. Applicants shall be a resident of Audrain County.
8. Applicants shall pursue a major field of study in Criminal Justice or Fire Protection.
