The Audrain County Cadet Program is a training program for young people who have an interest in a career in law enforcement. Members of the Audrain County Cadet Program help the community, learn leadership skills, and assist law enforcement officers. Through the Cadet Program, cadets gain experience by riding along with Sheriff's Deputies, working with corrections officers at the Audrain County Jail, Bailiffs at the Courthouse, and attend some law enforcement training.

Cadet Program Requirements:

  • Must be 15 - 21 years of age

  • Must be in good standing with the community

  • Must maintain “C” level grades in school

  • Must pass a background check
